Range Rover Evoque - Differential Repair

Here at Safari Engineering we have an expansive amount of knowledge on all Range Rover models. We are a skilled team who have many years’ experience in the service, repair, and enhancement of all Land Rovers, from the earliest military Land Rovers to the new top-quality Range Rovers.

Today we had a Range Rover Evoque within our workshop. This vehicle came to us due to the owner complaining of abnormal noises coming from the vehicle and the vehicle 'locking up'.

Once within our workshop we quickly diagnosef it as a failed differential.

The automotive differential is designed to drive a pair of wheels while allowing them to rotate at different speeds.

Once we had explained the repairs to the owner of the vehicle, we removed the failed differential. Whilst doing so we also removed the haldex pump, so that we could clean it, and change the vehicles oils and filter. After doing this we were able to refit the cleaned haldex pump and fit the vehicle with a new differential, thanks to our onsite parts department.

Signs of a failed differential:

- Vibrations

- Vehicle 'locking up'

- Gears grinding

- Whining sound

Most vehicle parts are available within our parts department. However, when a part is not readily available, we will order this as soon as we can (usually for next day delivery).

If your Land Rover needs repairing, servicing or enhancing, give us a quick call or drop us a line via our contact form, and we will talk you through what your Land Rover may need.
