Safari Engineering Land Rover Specialist in Eversley Dave Miles

Safari Engineering in Eversley are independent Land Rover specialists, offering value for money Land Rover servicing and repairs, by specialist Land Rover technicians.

Our story began 45 years ago when Dave Miles (senior) bought his first Land Rover, an early Series 2a. Dave began to use his Land Rover 2a off-road, as it was designed to be used. Green-Laning and Off-Roading became an addictive pastime, and before long Dave’s Series 2a Land Rover started to need repairing. It was getting a hammering!

Dave’s enthusiasm for his new pastime soon began to rub-off on his friends, and they too bought Land Rovers to join him on his adventures. These Land Rovers also needed repairs and servicing, so they turned to Dave, by this time quite an expert, to repair their vehicles, and get them back on the road.

This lead to the conception of Safari Engineering, Dave quit his job and used his skills to focus on the vehicles he had developed a real passion for. He bought and sold vehicles, he bought Land Rovers to break for spares, and he became an authorized Land Rover parts supplier for many Land Rover spare parts manufacturers. Safari Engineering built its reputation over the years as being the ‘go-to’ independent Land Rover specialists on, hard work, honest advice, and good value vehicle repairs. Qualities that are still followed to this day. Word-of-Mouth was the best form of advertising there was back then, just is it is today.

As time passed and the business grew, Dave Miles (Jr) went to work with his father and learnt the trade, from the ground up. Investment was made in bigger premises in 1994, and specialist tools were always on the shopping list. These ensured that Safari Engineering was always up-to-date with the latest Land Rover models of the times, something that continues to this day.

Bigger workshops and specialist tools were not all that was needed to keep the Land Rovers on the road, on the green lanes and working in the fields. Getting well qualified mechanics and technicians was vital for Safari Engineering to succeed and become Hampshire’s leading independent Land Rover Specialists, as it is today.

There are now 3 generations of our family working at Safari Engineering, confusingly, all called Dave! But, no matter which one of us you speak to, you can be assured of over 45 years of knowledge and experience when you bring your Land Rover to us at Safari Engineering in Eversley, Hampshire, for repairs and servicing.
