Land Rover Defender 110 Replacement Rear Cross Member

This Land Rover Defender 110 has been in our workshop this week.

The vehicle came to us, as the owner had noticed some rust and corrosion on their rear crossmember.

After having a quick chat over the phone, as always we were upfront with what was needed and gave an estimated price of the repair needed. This included fitting a new top quality, branded, galvanised crossmember, We then booked the vehicle in for repair. Upon arrival we were able to confirm that the rear cross member had indeed started to rust and corrode away due to years of use.

The rear cross member helps to form part of the vehicles chassis. However due to the rear cross member bring highly visible from the rear of the vehicle, it is typically one of the first parts of the Land Rover chassis which becomes affected by rust and corrosion.

It is important to check your vehicle for rust, as corrosion of your vehicles body or chassis can cause it to become weak and cause more damage, and be dangerous if left.

By replacing the rear cross member with a top quality, branded, galvanised rear cross member we were able to add to the strength and durability of the vehicle.

After removing and replacing the rear crossmember, we carried out our final tests, to ensure the vehicle was safe and ready to be returned to its owner.

Most vehicle parts are available within our Parts Department. However, when a part is not readily available, we will order this as soon as we can (usually for next day delivery).
