Defender TD5 - Replacement Alternator
Today we had this Land Rover Defender TD5 within our workshop.
This vehicle came to us, because the battery light was staying on.
After the owner contacted us we were able to quickly book the vehicle in for inspection. After our team of specialists looked at the vehicle, they quickly diagnosed the problem, as a faulty alternator.
The alternator is a component that generates an electrical charge which is used to maintain battery charge.
Signs of a failed alternator are:
- Warning light being on
- Battery light staying on
- Dead battery
- Dim headlights
Here at Safari Engineering we pride ourselves on being up front on costs, whilst ensuring we provide a top-quality service to all our customers. Therefor after contacting the vehicle owner, and explaining what was causing the battery light to stay on, we were able to remove the alternator and replace it with a new top quality, branded alternator, which was readily available from our onsite parts department. We then test drove the car to ensure the problem was fully solved, and returned the vehicle to it's now happy owner.
